Daniel J. McMichael
![]() Daniel J. McMichael was born in Saint Louis and raised in Webster Groves. He graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1967. After 4 years of Navy service, he secured his law degree in 1974 from University of Missouri, Columbia. He has been a trial lawyer since 1974. For the first 15 years he practiced mostly as a defense lawyer. Since then, he and Jim Logan have been exclusively representing victims of negligence, medical malpractice, defective products, employment discrimination, and the industrially injured before the workers' compensation board. He practiced 11 years with the firm of Fitzsimmons and Fitzsimmons which became Fitzsimmons and McMichael, and 4 years with Suelthaus and Kaplan. He started this practice with Jim Logan in 1990. He is a member of various local and state bar associations and has spoken and written on areas of legal practice. |

Until 1990 he practiced with the law firm of James F. Koester Inc. He and Dan McMichael have practiced together since 1990.
